Reporting to the Director, Hospital Services, the Clinical Manager provides clinical and operational leadership for a diverse portfolio that includes the 27-bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU), Staffing Office, Unit Clerks, and After Hours Manager team.
The Clinical Manager is accountable for fostering an exceptional patient and family experience on the TCU by building and supporting a high-performing interprofessional team, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, person-centred care, and operational excellence. The TCU supports older adults as they transition from Baycrest inpatient hospital to home or the next stage of care, with a focus on meeting continued care needs and patient goals.
The Clinical Manager also provides leadership and oversight for key operational support functions across Baycrest Hospital and the Apotex long-term care home. This includes supporting effective staffing coordination and resource utilization, unit administrative operations, and after-hours leadership during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Our salary ranges are structured to support progression, from learning the role to demonstrating full proficiency.
The salary range for this position is $121,139 to $151,424 per year.
Your placement within the target hiring range will depend on your job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, and relevant education and experience, as well as considerations such as market conditions and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined using these factors to ensure fairness and consistency across the organization.
