The successful candidate will be accountable for operational leadership of an inpatient unit within the Complex Care Program.
Reporting to the Director of Complex Care, the Clinical Manager utilizes clinical leadership skills to ensure the highest quality of patient care through planning, day to day operational management, and coordination of human and physical resources. Your proven leadership skills promote frontline accountability, innovation and the development of high performing teams. You are a self-directed individual with demonstrated strengths in quality improvement, staff engagement and establishing collaborative partnerships. The Complex Care Program comprises an inpatient palliative care unit and two units providing medically complex care. The 18-bed Palliative Care unit provides pain and symptom management and end of life care for those experiencing life limiting illness. The 71 bed Medically Complex Service provides care to patients who require ongoing medical management as well as rehabilitation following a major medical event, accident or illness. We provide support to individuals with a range of chronic complex conditions including designated beds for patient's requiring chronic ventilator support and residential medically complex care. The goal of the Complex Care unit is to return individuals to the community; either to their home or to a long-term care setting.
