Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare in Markham, Ontario is seeking a part-time Laundry Attendant to support the laundry department in a clinical setting. You will operate laundry equipment, sort and fold linens, and ensure stock levels are ready for patient floors, coordinating with Housekeeping and Patient Care staff.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to stand long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• A secondary school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for complete upkeep and smooth functioning of the laundry department.
• Sorts dirty laundry and linens by type and loads into washing machines.
• Ensures clothes and linens are cleaned to standard before inventory.
• Communicates maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate person.
• Maintains adequate linen supply on client floors and linen storage areas.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with time constraints and production standards.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
