Nova Scotia Health’s Central Zone is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist B (Clinical Genetics) for Hematology Molecular Biology. The role involves complex molecular testing, quality assurance, and teamwork in a busy lab at QEII.

The CGT will interpret results in clinical context, maintain records, and contribute to process improvements. Licensure with NSRMLS and PLI are required; experience with CIS is a plus, and French is an asset.

Formación

• Graduate from an accredited Clinical Genetics diploma program.
• Active licensure with NSRMLS.
• Proof of Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).
• Combination of education and experience may be considered (MLT plus MSc...).
• Clinical Genetic Technologist experience is an asset.
• Experience with CIS (Oracle Millennium) preferred.
• Good judgement in solving technical problems and reporting results.

Responsabilidades

• Perform, coordinate, and troubleshoot complex molecular tests per methodologies.
• Analyze blood, bone marrow, body fluids and tissues using molecular techniques.
• Maintain records, assist others, and participate in QA and equipment validation.
• Train staff and residents; manage workflow and inventory.
