Job summary

Inizio is seeking a Clinical Educator – Type 1 Diabetes to support patients and healthcare professionals across British Columbia and Alberta. The role combines clinical expertise with patient education and diabetes technology, in a flexible hybrid/field-based model.

The ideal candidate is a healthcare professional with diabetes experience, capable of educating patients and clinicians on insulin pumps, CGM, and automated insulin delivery, while building strong regional relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Nutrition/Dietetics, or another relevant healthcare discipline.
• Registered and in good standing with the appropriate regulatory body in British Columbia or Alberta.
• At least 1 year of experience working with Type 1 diabetes, ideally within a diabetes clinic or a diabetes-focused clinical role.
• Strong knowledge of diabetes management and patient education.
• Experience with insulin pumps, CGM and/or automated insulin delivery technologies is highly desirable.
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation is an asset.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable working independently and engaging with patients and healthcare professionals across a territory.

Responsibilities

• Train and educate healthcare professionals on available technologies and solutions.
• Partner with endocrinologists, diabetes nurses, dietitians and other healthcare professionals to optimize the patient experience.
