Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a Clinical Educator – Type 1 Diabetes to support patients and healthcare professionals across British Columbia and Alberta. This field-based role suits a nurse, dietitian, or diabetes professional who combines strong clinical expertise with a passion for patient education, diabetes technology and improving quality of life.

You will educate patients on diabetes management technologies (insulin delivery, CGM, and automated insulin delivery), provide follow-up and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Nutrition/Dietetics, or another relevant healthcare discipline.
• Registered and in good standing with the regulatory body in British Columbia or Alberta.
• At least 1 year of experience working with Type 1 diabetes, ideally in a diabetes clinic or diabetes-focused role.
• Strong knowledge of diabetes management and patient education.
• Experience with insulin pumps, CGM and/or automated insulin delivery technologies is highly desirable.
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Educate and support patients in the use of diabetes management technologies.
• Provide personalized follow-up, education and ongoing support to users.
• Train and educate healthcare professionals on available technologies and solutions.
• Partner with endocrinologists, diabetes nurses, dietitians and other healthcare professionals to optimize the patient experience.
• Support the adoption of clinical best practices in Type 1 diabetes management.
