Job summary

Inizio Engage is seeking a Clinical Educator – Type 1 Diabetes to support patients and healthcare professionals across British Columbia and Alberta. This permanent, field-based role combines clinical expertise with patient education and diabetes technology exposure.

You will educate patients on insulin delivery, CGM and automated insulin delivery, train clinicians, and collaborate with endocrinologists and diabetes teams to improve care in Western Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Nutrition/Dietetics, or another relevant healthcare discipline.
• Registered and in good standing with the regulatory body in British Columbia or Alberta.
• At least 1 year of experience working with Type 1 diabetes, ideally in a diabetes clinic or related role.
• Strong knowledge of diabetes management and patient education.
• Experience with insulin pumps, CGM, and/or automated insulin delivery technologies is highly desirable.
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) designation is an asset.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently across a territorial area.

Responsibilities

• Educate and support patients in using diabetes management technologies, including insulin delivery solutions.
• Provide personalized follow-up, education and ongoing support to users.
• Train healthcare professionals on available technologies and solutions.
• Partner with endocrinologists, diabetes nurses, dietitians and other professionals to optimize patient experience.
• Support adoption of clinical best practices in Type 1 diabetes management.
• Build relationships with diabetes clinics and healthcare professionals across your territory.
• Stay current on developments in diabetes care and technology.
