Job summary

William Osler Health System is seeking an Education Assistant to support medical education activities at the Osler clinical education campus. The role collaborates with the Manager, Medical Education and the education team to coordinate rotations, registrations, and committee participation.

This position requires a two-year post-secondary program and health-care experience, with strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary program required in office administration medical program or equivalent.
• Two years experience in a health care related environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides on-site faculty support as required.
• Supports coordination of clinical placement opportunities at the Osler campus including processing rotations, licensure, malpractice, and verification documents.
• Creates and maintains UG/PG call schedules and distributes updates to learners and hospital sites.
• Organizes and communicates placement details to affected departments.
• Assists with registration and orientation for medical learners.
• Provides administrative support to the Manager, Medical Education for planning activities.
• Attends medical education committee meetings as required.
• Maintains trainee demographics and attendance data for Ministry of Health reporting.
• Assists with defining preceptor availability and clinical capacity planning.
• Provides backup support to the Manager, Medical Education.
• Supports simulation-based educational activities (scheduling, room bookings, equipment, inventory).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
