Job summary

Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to provide nutrition care across long-term care, inpatient, outpatient and dialysis settings. You will collaborate with patients, families and health professionals to assess and monitor nutritional status, identify interventions, and support optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics, an approved internship, and current registration with Manitoba’s Dietitians College; a province-wide

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, Dietetics or related area.
• Graduate of Dietitians of Canada approved internship.
• Registration and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
• Member of Dietitians of Canada.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing healthcare environments.
• Effective planning, organizational and time management.
• Exemplary professional judgment and use of evidence-based guidelines.
• Ability to work in a computerized environment and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition care to long-term residents, in-patients, out-patients and dialysis patients.
• Collaborate with patients, families and health-care professionals to assess and monitor nutrition status.
• Identify interventions to achieve optimal nutritional outcomes.
• Work in alignment with Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority mission and values.
• Travel to sites within the region using a valid driver's license.
