Job description

The Clinical Dietitian provides overall nutrition care to patients and is considered an entry-level role. Ensures that the nutritional needs of patients are met and all related documentation is complete and accurate. Plans and administers activities related to patient nutrition care, complying with standards established by Aramark Healthcare, regulatory agencies, and clients. Establishes effective multidisciplinary relationships to provide unified patient/resident care.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains dietetic registration, credentials, licensure, and continuing education requirements.
• Conducts patient nutrition assessments across varying levels of acuity.
• Develops and implements nutrition intervention plans following the Nutrition Care Process.
• Participates in rounding to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Assesses educational needs and barriers to learning.
• Provides nutrition counseling tailored to individuals and groups, considering educational adaptations.
• Utilizes assessment and evaluation techniques sensitive to age, cultural, religious, and ethnic differences.
• Evaluates achievement of learning objectives with patients and families.
• Provides follow-up and refers patients for outpatient, community, or home health services as needed.
• Executes operational standards and continually monitors nutrition care and meal service quality.
• Collaborates with medical and nutrition staff to ensure care order conformance.
• Ensures compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Documents the nutrition care plan comprehensively in medical records.
• Maintains clinical productivity and accurate records for scheduling and billing.
• Ensures accountability in protecting patient information.
