Job summary

Teckhorizon Inc. seeks an experienced Clinical Business Analyst for Patient Access to support the provincial CIS Symbio Program, focusing on Registration and Scheduling in NB acute-care settings.

Qualifications

• University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, IT or equivalent.
• 5+ years as Clinical Business Analyst or equivalent, especially Patient Access.
• Experience gathering requirements, facilitation, use cases, and documentation.
• Recent experience (last 10 years) with acute-care HIS/EHR/CIS projects.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.

Job description

Our Client is looking for an experienced Clinical Business Analyst Patient Access to support the provincial Clinical Information Solution (CIS) Symbio Program.

The role will focus on Patient Access, including Registration and Scheduling, and will support the standardization and implementation of clinical workflows across New Brunswick s acute-care healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with clinical stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, healthcare professionals, project teams, the Clinical Team Lead, and Project Manager to gather requirements, design future-state workflows, identify gaps, support clinical standardization, and build, validate, and test clinical content within the CIS.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and engagement sessions with clinicians, healthcare providers, SMEs, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct gap analysis, use case analysis, and business process analysis.
• Develop detailed design documents and business analysis documentation.
• Support the design and implementation of Patient Access workflows, particularly Registration and Scheduling.
• Review existing business requirements and identify new business and IT requirements.
• Develop and maintain workflows, use cases, user guides, training materials, and solution documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical experts to develop and refine provincial clinical standards.
• Build, validate, and test clinical content within the CIS.
• Support the development, deployment, and implementation of clinical standardization initiatives.
• Work across multiple project streams and collaborate with clinical, technical, and business teams.
• Support stakeholder communications and adoption activities.

Mandatory Qualifications

• University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or equivalent, specifically supporting Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling.
• Experience must include requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and business analysis documentation.
• Relevant Patient Access experience must have been obtained within the last 10 years.
• 5+ years of experience working with acute-care Health Information Systems, EHRs, or Clinical Information Systems as they relate to Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics Analyst on health information system/CIS implementation projects.
• Direct experience building or implementing a similar-scale Patient Access solution within a Canadian acute-care healthcare system comparable in size and complexity to New Brunswick.
• Must be available to start on or around October 12, 2026.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of Clinical Business Analyst experience involving Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling.
• Experience with one or more of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, or Laboratory.
• 3+ years of experience leading workshops with healthcare providers to identify business requirements, system requirements, user stories, and use cases.
• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• English and French bilingual communication skills are strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working independently and engaging with project teams, SMEs, and stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• 5+ years of experience working across multiple teams or concurrent project streams.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams, and JIRA.
• Previous experience working within public health authorities and knowledge of public healthcare policies and practices.
