Job summary

Diagram is seeking an Analyst or Associate, Venture Creation to help launch new climate tech ventures. You will report to Diagram’s ClimateTech Venture Creation Principal and work closely with Partners, potential founders, and advisors to drive de-risking, evaluation, and building of new ventures.

You will develop investment theses, generate new venture ideas, conduct market sizing and financial analysis, and craft investment memos and decks, while leading pre-seed activities and helping shape

Qualifications

• Track record of outstanding performance
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and initiative
• 1–3 years in early stage venture capital, tech product, or venture-building roles
• Ability to conduct user and market research, size markets, analyze competition and business models
• Strong communication skills and ability to deliver high-quality memos and decks
• Comfort with building financial models and evaluating unit economics
• Interest in applying AI to decarbonisation or climate resilience

Responsibilities

• Develop investment theses and perspectives on opportunity areas
• Generate and pitch new venture ideas
• Conduct market research, sizing, competitive analysis and business model evaluation
• Develop pitch decks and investment memos
• Lead pre-seed work including pilots, MVPs and design-partner collaborations
• Pitch ideas to founders and support founder matchmaking
• Contribute to Diagram's culture and community engagement
