Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Climate Solutions Tech (Service Tech I) in the Power/HVAC division. You will install HVAC and dehumidification/air purification equipment at customer sites, perform minor repairs, and operate delivery vehicles while ensuring safety and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include equipment demonstrations, maintenance checks, and assisting with loading/unloading. A High School diploma and a valid G2 gas license are required, with on-call emergency readiness

• Strong customer service, teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and handle HVAC equipment and tools.

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance checks on equipment and clean equipment.
• Report condition of equipment before and after usage.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers and assist with loading/unloading.
• Be available for other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Minor repairs, maintenance checks and the cleaning of equipment
• Report equipment condition before and after usage
• Demonstrate equipment for customers
• Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge with repairing and maintaining HVAC equipment preferred
• Valid G2 Gas license
• Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Willingness to be on an “on call” rotation for 24/7 emergency service
