Job summary

MNBC seeks a Climate Action and Restoration Coordinator to lead development and execution of climate action and ecological restoration initiatives.

You will coordinate community-level programs, support training and employment opportunities, and work with First Nations, local governments and partners to deliver restoration projects.

Regular travel to communities may be required, and you will manage documentation, budgets, and reporting in collaboration with MNBC staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred and Diploma in forestry or related field required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with citizen science or tree planting programs is an asset.
• Knowledge of environmental issues including climate change, water quality, biodiversity, and carbon sequestration.

Responsibilities

• Supports development of climate action and restoration projects (tree planting, urban greening, forest management, education/training).
• Provides administrative support to program operations (scheduling, logistics, documentation, meeting minutes).
• Contributes leadership to climate actions (carbon sequestration, wildfire restoration, forest resilience).
• Develops partnerships with Indigenous communities, governments, and educational institutions to deliver projects.
• Conducts field assessments and site visits under various conditions.
• Assists with budgeting, invoices, funding reporting.
