Qualifications

POSITION TITLE: Client Relationship Lead

SUMMARY:

Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President, Client Experience, the Client Relationship Lead is responsible for the facilitation of the relationship between the not-for-profit healthcare organizations and the service providers to ensure that all aspects of the plan are implemented, delivered and adhered to.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with Participants in the overall implementation and ongoing management of their employee benefit programs.
  • Respond to escalated queries from Participants and work with service providers for quick resolution.
  • Monitor and provide routine reporting to Participants in alignment with the Mandatory Obligations and KPIs as set out in the Co program.
  • Ensure all Participant and service provider correspondence is accurate and flows in an efficient manner.
  • Proactively connect with non-participating organizations in demonstrating the Co advantages and aiding in their assessment of value.
  • Maintain relationships with account managers, service representatives, underwriters, claims, and other key staff of our various service providers.
  • Collaborate with Co leadership team as required.
  • Consult with Co team regarding various issues and special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery and administration of employee group benefits programs in a not-for-profit healthcare, union and non-union environment (would be seen as an asset)
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering group benefits programs to clients and/or employees with union and non-union environments.
  • Experience in the Group Insurance industry.
  • Understanding of group underwriting practices and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English (Bilingual with French would be seen as an asset).
  • A proven track record in customer service coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to conceptualize details and develop action plans for problem-solving and decision making.
  • An interest in personal development and eagerness to learn new things.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
  • Valid Ontario G driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • LLQP is a definite asset.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Completed post-secondary education at the Bachelor or College level.
  • Currently active or the Ability to obtain a LLQP license
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in the Group Benefits industry in either a client facing role or in a role with an employer that focuses on the delivery and administration of an employee benefits program
  • The preferred candidate would have or would be working toward other industry credentials such as CEBS.
  • Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset.
  • Most importantly, you are an agile, enthusiastic, and creative thinker, who is constantly driving performance improvement and are passionate about providing an enhanced benefits experience for the Canadian healthcare system.
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • May be required to attend functions/meetings during off hours.
  • Travel: 15-25% anticipated
