Our client, a growing professional services firm in Vancouver, seeks a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee client accounting and external financial reporting. Ideal background includes public practice with audit, transitioning to client-facing reporting roles, and readiness for Manager-level responsibilities.

The role covers diverse public-company clients across industries, with exposure to cross-border reporting and international teams.

Qualifications

• Public accounting background with audit experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with public company financial reporting is an asset.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to manage client relationships and deliver reporting outputs.
• Strong communication skills across senior and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Prepare schedules, notes, MD&A and other reporting materials.
• Prepare and review cash flow statements and related docs.
• Create and review technical memos on complex transactions.
• Coordinate internal and external financial reporting processes.
• Support development and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Maintain capitalization tables and equity records.
• Serve as a key point of contact with client management.
• Identify risks and work with clients to address them.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with teams across international offices.
