Job summary

HUB International in Canada is seeking an Auto Insurance Trainee to join our sales-focused team. No insurance experience is required; we provide full training and support to earn the Level 1 General Insurance License within your first 30 days, plus ongoing coaching.

You will build relationships with clients and dealership partners, promote ICBC and private auto coverages, handle renewals and new plates, and strive to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets.

Qualifications

• No insurance experience? No problem! We provide full training to help you earn your Level 1 General Insurance License within 30 days.
• Level 1 Insurance License is an asset—but not required.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.
• Must be able to build trust with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and dealership partners.
• Promote and sell ICBC and private auto insurance products to meet targets.
• Handle auto insurance transactions: renewals, transfers, cancellations, and related activities.
• Upsell and cross-sell additional insurance products to add value for clients.
• Support the branch with calls, admin tasks, and inventory restocking.

A Day in the Life

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, teammates, and auto dealership partners
• Actively promote and sell ICBC and private insurance products to meet and exceed daily/weekly/monthly sales targets
• Process a variety of auto insurance transactions, including renewals, new plates, transfers, cancellations, debt payments, and more
• Upsell and cross-sell additional insurance products to add value for clients and drive performance metrics
• Support your branch by taking phone calls, managing administrative tasks, and restocking inventory

Salary Expectations –

The expected salary for this position is $41,600 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
