Job summary

Acera Insurance is seeking a full-time Client Advisor, Personal Insurance to join our Burnaby team. You will advise, explain, promote, and sell home, auto, and other personal insurance policies to ensure clients are properly insured and protected.

You will work with clients, insurers, and internal teams to deliver an exceptional client experience, process renewals, endorsements, and policy changes, and maintain accurate documentation across files.

Qualifications

• Level 1 BC General Insurance License is required.
• Level 2 BC General Insurance License considered an asset.
• 3+ years of Personal Insurance experience.
• Experience with Broker Management Systems, such as EPIC.
• Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Client-centric approach and strong organizational skills.
• Builds and maintains positive relationships with clients and insurance companies.
• Courteous and professional with clients and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, phone, and email service to clients, processing renewals, endorsements, cancellations, policy changes, and new policies.
• Promote optimal coverage, premiums, payment methods, and additional products.
• Review policy wordings and documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Update and maintain automated forms for new business, endorsements, renewals, and claims.
• Review existing client policies and market as necessary.
• Collect payments in an efficient and timely manner.
• Provide back-up support to the front desk as needed.
• Deliver an outstanding client service experience.

Pay Range :Acera's total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,000 - $70,000 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related insurance experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.

You will be responsible for advising, explaining, promoting and selling home, auto, and other personal insurance policies to ensure our clients are appropriately insured and protected.

Essential Job Functions:

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing in-person, phone, and email service to clients, including processing renewals, endorsements, cancellations, policy changes, and new policies (ICBC, private auto, and personal insurance; commercial auto/fleet as required)
• Recommending and promoting optimal coverage, premiums, payment methods, and additional products
• Reviewing policy wordings and associated documents for accuracy, completeness, and correcting errors as needed
• Updating and maintaining automated forms for new business, endorsements, renewals, and claims
• Reviewing existing client policies and marketing as necessary
• Collecting payments in an efficient and timely manner
• Providing back-up support to the front desk as needed
• Delivering an outstanding client service experience

Qualifications and Soft Skill Requirements:

• Level 1 BC General Insurance License is required; Level 2 BC General Insurance License considered an asset
• 3 or more years of previous Personal Insurance experience
• Experience with Broker Management Systems, such as EPIC
• Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Client-centric approach
