Acera Insurance is seeking an Associate, Commercial Insurance to support the Commercial Client Advisor and Client Executive by processing documents, invoicing premiums, and preparing certificates of insurance.

You will produce schedules, assist with claims reporting, collect receivables, and maintain file documentation while delivering accurate service in a fast-paced environment.

Associate, Commercial Insurance

This role is responsible for providing support to the Commercial Client Advisor and Client Executive by processing documents, invoicing premium, preparing cover letters, producing certificates of insurance, schedules, claims reporting, collecting receivables and maintaining file documentation.

Job Status

Status: Full-Time, permanent

Compensation: Acera’s total compensation offerings are based on pay for performance that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $45,000 – $55,000 CAD annually; the pay offering is based on location and will vary depending on related insurance experience, knowledge, skills, and internal equity.

Essential Job Functions

• Contributes in regular meetings with team to ensure you are up to date on all pending client issues, changing needs, implementing service plans, and other issues.
• Fields internal client communication via mail, email, phone and/or face to face and identifies client’s insurance requirements.
• Handles issuance and sending of certificates, pre-renewal, renewal, new business submissions and proposals as requested.
• Helps with the maintenance of activity lists as requested (Endos, polos, account discrepancies, SOV’s, etc).
• Acera Leader in the client and insurance industry through professional writing, speaking and networking engagements.
• Supports processes and procedures and past practices; participates in team meetings.
• Advocates for changes and additions to service plans that increase value for clients.

• Ability to maximize efficiencies by leveraging technology, tools resources and information.
• Self-guided learner & solves problems with real solutions.
• Working towards Level 2 BC Broker License.
• Working knowledge of insurance document management software (EPIC).
• Skilled user of Microsoft office - Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
