City of Brampton is seeking a part-time, temporary Administrative Support person for the Animal Services division of Community Services. You will handle front desk intake, payments, licences, and filing, while providing essential clerical support and reporting for the team.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in a related administrative or animal services field. Strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, and weekend availability are required.
Responsible for providing exemplary frontline customer service to internal and external clients; responsible to intake and release animals at the front counter and to dispatch service calls to Animal Control Officers. Provides administrative support to the Animal Services team to ensure operational needs of the section are met.
High School (Grade 12) graduation plus an additional program of up to one (1) year in Office Administration or equivalent.
Over one (1) year, up to and including two (2) years in a related animal field in an administrative capacity.
Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton. Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.

A criminal record search will be required of the successful candidate to verify the absence of a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.
