NHS Ayrshire & Arran seeks a part-time Receptionist/Admin Assistant for the Cardiac Physiology Department. Candidates will manage patient interactions, data entry, and assist the cardiac team. This is a permanent, part-time position of 31.5 hours per week (salary is pro-rata). The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
We are seeking a friendly and approachable Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our team at the Cardiac Physiology Department, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
The role involves patient-facing duties such as checking in patients, handling patient telephone queries, and managing internal calls related to the department. The successful candidate will work alongside the cardiac physiology team, assisting in appointment throughput by entering patient data into electronic systems, verifying demographics, and rebooking appointments.
Additional responsibilities include data entry into healthcare databases. Knowledge of healthcare IT systems is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The candidate should be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
