Job summary

Canstar Restorations is seeking a dedicated restoration cleaner to support cleaning and restoration of items damaged by water, fire, smoke, and mold. You will serve customers, handle contents, perform site cleaning, and maintain detailed job records.

Join a team-focused environment in western Canada where safety and quality are valued. Overtime availability allows for additional shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in emergency services.
  • IICRC certification or equivalent preferred.
  • General labour experience and safety training.
  • Ability to move contents and perform restoration cleaning.
  • Capable of working both in a team and independently.
  • Willingness to work nights/weekends as overtime arises.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, protect, and pack away customer belongings.
  • Work with a team in a safe, clean environment.
  • Follow procedures for cleaning structures and contents.
  • Remove smoke residue from contents and structures.
  • Perform post-construction cleaning to ready houses for occupancy.
  • Collaborate to maintain a safe work environment.

Job description

Operating since 1978, Lydale is one of western Canada's most trusted full-service property restoration contractors, specializing in complete clean-up and reconstruction (both commercial and residential) of property damaged from wind, water, and/or fire. In spring of 2024 Lydale joined forces with Canstar Restorations. Canstar, founded in 1985, has grown to include 18 offices servicing British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for assisting with the cleaning and restoration of items damaged by water, fire, smoke, and mold. Our cleaners provide outstanding customer service while cleaning customer contents, site cleaning, and completion of detailed job records. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • You will clean, disinfect, protect, and safely pack away the belongings of the customer until they are ready to be returned to the home
  • Work with a motivated team in a safe and clean work environment
  • Follow procedures for cleaning structures and contents and handlings customers’ possessions
  • Thoroughly clean smoke residue from contents and structures
  • Provide post construction cleaning to prepare a house for occupancy
  • Work with a motivated team to ensure a safe work environment
Must have skills and experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in the field of emergency services
  • IICRC Certification
