Job summary

Innohyg in Canada is seeking a supervisor of cleaning staff for underground mining sites. You will hire, train, and coordinate cleaners, ensuring safety standards and cost-effective operations on challenging underground environments.

Lead 16-20 person teams, coordinate with other departments, and uphold high quality across programs and procedures while managing schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a supervisory cleaning role.
• Experience in underground mine environments and safety protocols.
• Ability to manage budgets and coordinate training.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train or arrange training of cleaning staff.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
• Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
• Prepare budget and cost estimates.
• Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repairs, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
• Assist cleaners in performing duties.
• Coordinate work activities with other departments.
• Establish work schedules.
• Conduct quality control on programs, procedures and control strategies.
