Job summary

Better Living Health and Community Services is seeking a Home Cleaner to provide light in-home cleaning to clients in the Bayview to McCowan, Sheppard to south of the Danforth area. The role requires a reliable, detail-oriented person with a smartphone and a commitment to safety and service quality.

You will perform tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry and changing bed linens, and you must have at least two years of relevant experience, fluency in English, and a Vulnerable Sector Police

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read, write and orally communicate in English.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued within 6 weeks of offer.
• Available Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks in client's home as specified in the Service Plan.
• Vacuum, dust, sweep and mop floors; laundry.
• Change bed linen; clean washroom, kitchen, and other living areas.
• Provide grocery shopping services as requested.
• Conduct Home Hazard Safety Assessments as required to ensure safety.
• Report health and safety concerns to the Supervisor.
• Adhere to In-Home Services Program policies and procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment/machinery such as vacuums.
• Communicate with the In-Home Services Department.
• Document duties performed clearly and concisely.
• Access to a smartphone (with data) required.

Summary:

Better Living Health and Community Services has an opening for the position of a Home Cleaner. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clients with light in-home cleaning.

The successful candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to read, write and orally communicate in English.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station, within 6 weeks of offer of employment.
• Must be available within Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm

Catchment area: Bayview to McCowan, Sheppard to South of the Danforth

The successful candidate for this position must be able to:

Salary: $18.12 per hour.
