Job summary

InterRent REIT is seeking a Property Cleaner to join our Operations team and help maintain our communities throughout the downtown core. This hands‑on role is ideal for a reliable, detail‑oriented professional committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming homes for our residents.

We offer $17.60–$19.00 per hour, three weeks of paid vacation annually starting on day 1, and a comprehensive benefits program with health, dental, and prescription drug

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas.
• Empty garbage and ensure safe disposal of waste.
• Occasionally perform deep cleaning of baseboards, appliances, and floors.
• Respond to cleaning work orders from property management.
• Occasionally assist with snow removal during winter months.
• Conduct daily inspections and report maintenance issues to operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and use PPE as required.

Job description

InterRent REIT is seeking a Property Cleaner to join our Operations team and help maintain our communities throughout the downtown core. This hands‑on role is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented professional committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming homes for our residents.

Compensation

• $17.60 - $19.00/hr based on skills and experience.
• Three weeks of paid vacation annually, starting on day 1 of employment.
• Additionally, all employees participate in our comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, dental, and prescription drug coverage for both employees and their dependents, with 100% of premiums covered by the employer.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
• Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.
• Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
• Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
• Perform daily inspections of common areas and report any maintenance issues to the property operations team.
• Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.

Qualifications

• Friendly, respectable, and community minded, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Previous cleaning experience considered an asset, but is not required.
• Comfortable working both independently and part of a team.
• Ability to perform a variety of repetitive physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods of time.
• Basic English verbal communication skills are required.
• Ability to provide professional references and proven record of reliable work attendance.

Additional Information

• All work will be completed on‑site at our various properties in the downtown area.
• Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
• Participation in an after‑hours rotational emergency response team may be required.
