Job summary

Northern Lights School Division No in Sandy Bay invites applications for the 2026/27 Classroom Complexity Teacher position at Hector Thiboutot Community School. This full-time, permanent assignment is compensated per the provincial salary grid with a benefits package that includes subsidized furnished housing and a Northern living allowance; moving assistance may also be available.

The successful candidate will hold a Saskatchewan teaching certificate (or eligibility), have coursework in

Qualifications

• Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
• Additional coursework in Special/Inclusive Education would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
• Minimum of 5 years classroom teaching experience
• Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, adaptive dimension, differentiation, curriculum, environment and assessment

Responsibilities

• Work within a team to help address issues of complexity. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, one-on-one behavioral/safety interventions, individual or small group programming to address specialized learning needs of students, acute learning needs, modifications or adaptations of programming, counselling services, self-regulation education, etc
• Other duties as assigned by the school administration
