Job summary

Purolator is seeking a Class A Mechanic (310S) in Etobicoke, ON. The role involves inspecting, servicing, and repairing delivery vehicles to meet safety and productivity standards, with a shift of 12:30pm–9:00pm and a pay rate of $36.51/hour.

The ideal candidate will hold a 310S certification and a valid Class G license, with 3–5 years of diagnostic and maintenance experience and familiarity with computerized maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive equipment.
• Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and repair delivery and related vehicles to meet vehicle safety, operational, and productivity goals and standards
• Conduct maintenance and repairs, order parts, document and update work orders, communicate with suppliers and operations, etc.)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report quality control issues (e.g., wipers not working) to determine their cause and identify if mechanical or general repairs or changes to the vehicle warranty are required
• Conduct repairs, order and install parts, and inform customers of the status of repairs.
• Maintain parts inventory and purchase parts required for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Determines if parts can be rebuilt or repaired and returned to the active inventory.
• Coordinate administrative requirements for preventative maintenance
• Provide emergency road service when vehicles break down on route to assess if the vehicle can be repaired on site
• Identifies root causes and repair options (e.g., location of repair, payment options, parts or other materials required, methods of payment, etc.)
• Arrange for trucks to be picked up through third party vendors (towing companies), etc.).

Shift: Monday to Friday: 12:30pm to 9:00pm (40 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $36.51/hour

Qualifications

• Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310S)to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components for cars, buses, and trucks.
• Valid Class GDriver's License (Class Apreferred)
• 3-5years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive equipment.
• Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures
• Demonstrated ability to work alone in fast paced environment
• A clear driving history and criminal history
