Job summary

Midland Courier in Sydney, NS is seeking a Class 5 P&D Courier Driver. You will load/unload shipments, verify deliveries, and ensure accuracy per procedures. Maintain a clean vehicle and follow traffic laws while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role runs Monday to Friday from 06:15 to 16:00. The company offers a competitive hourly rate, uniform allowance, health benefits, RRSP matching, and paid vacation. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Class 5 driver’s license with at least 2 years of safe commercial driving experience.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs with proper equipment.
  • Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established pickup and delivery procedures.
  • Process daily pickup and delivery records accurately.
  • Safely load and unload the Cube Van to prevent package damage.
  • Maintain company equipment in accordance with standards.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made promptly and safely.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment following safety protocols and laws.
  • Report incidents or damages immediately.

Job Description

Midland Courier is currently seeking a Class 5 P&D Courier Driver based in Sydney, NS Terminal. The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, great and positive attitude, and exceptional customer service skills.

Main Role

The successful candidate will handle the loading and unloading of shipments, verify delivery accuracy, and ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with company procedures. In this role, you will also be responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle in a safe and clean operating condition and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Monday to Friday (06:15 – 16:00)
