Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking experienced Class 3 Operators for a temporary 6-month assignment at a Cenovus site in Alberta. Candidates must have TDG knowledge, 3+ years of manual transmission experience, and prior Combo Vac/tank cleaning exposure.

The role offers 14 on/14 off shifts, camp accommodations, and flights from Edmonton or Calgary. Operators should be mechanically inclined, physically fit, and capable of working in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum 3 years of experience, including up to 18 speed manual class 1 or 3 equipment.
• Previous or related experience operating Combo Vac units.
• Previous tank cleaning experience an asset.
• Minedrive experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate Combo Vac units.
• Tank cleaning (requires confined space entry).
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in all weather.
• Complete daily documentation, including logbooks, work orders, risk assessments, and pre/post-trip inspections.
• Follow instructions from Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Maintain and clean the assigned truck to ensure company image.
• Attend toolbox and safety meetings and follow safety regulations.
• Keep training current and adhere to TDG and WHMIS standards.
• Seek continuous improvement opportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in all activities.
