Job summary

OSCO Construction Group, Glenholme Ready Mix, is seeking a Ready Mix Concrete Driver to safely deliver and unload concrete at construction sites. You will maintain the truck and assist with yard upkeep, ensuring efficiency and safety on every job.

This role requires early starts and flexibility to cover long days, with a starting wage of $25.60 per hour and a benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and customer service skills.
• Able to operate a manual transmission vehicle.
• Willingness to work early mornings, days, and late evenings.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Prior driving experience and safety awareness are assets.

We are currently seeking a Ready Mix Concrete Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver ready mix concrete to construction sites.
• Safely unload concrete at customer locations.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance of the concrete truck.
• Assist with general cleaning and maintenance of the plant and yard.
• Complete other duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement.
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Completion of a driver training course an asset
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Previous experience is considered a definite asset.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, days, and late evenings.

Work Schedule

This position involves long workdays and early morning starts. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work required based on operational and customer demands. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work extended hours during busy construction periods.
