Job summary

Mainroad Group seeks a Transit Mixer Operator in Cranbrook, BC. This full-time role involves operating late-model mixer trucks, loading materials to various sites, and maintaining equipment. Training is provided; safety and teamwork are emphasized in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will have a Class 3 license with air brake endorsement, mixer truck experience or willingness to learn, and flexibility for shifts, including overtime. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid Class 3 driver's license with air brake endorsement and a clean abstract.
  • Experience operating a mixer truck is preferred, with willingness to learn.
  • Background in physical labour may be required.
  • Knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.
  • Flexible to respond to callouts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Safety‑minded with a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Ability to maintain excellent customer relations.

Responsibilities

  • Load and transport materials to various job sites.
  • Maintain and service equipment and vehicles; perform greasing and cleaning.
  • Record equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure all materials and tools are secured during transport.
  • Follow safety policies including pre trips and hazard assessments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salvador Ready Mix Concrete LP is COR® certified by the BC Construction Safety Alliance and an active member of the British Columbia Ready Mix Concrete Association and the Southern Interior Construction Association. REQUIREMENTS:
  • Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement and a clean abstract.
  • Previous experience operating a mixer truck, or the willingness to learn (training provided).
  • Previous physical labour experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations.
  • Ability to different shifts, such as callouts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Capable of performing moderate physical labour.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and committed with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and take directions.
  • Safety conscious with a willingness to learn and practice safe work habits and actively participate in worksite safety.
  • Ability to maintain excellent customer relations.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Loading and driving materials/products to various job sites.
  • Maintenance of equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are properly serviced and equipped (ie. greasing and cleaning).
  • Investigation and recording of equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  • Ensuring all materials and tools are properly secured.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures such as pre trips, post trips, and hazard assessments.
  • Carrying out other related duties as assigned.

Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, the successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment drug test. Employment is conditional upon a confirmed negative result.
