Job summary

Clean Harbors is seeking Professional Class 1 and Class 3 Drivers to join our safety conscious team in Canada. You will operate and drive equipment to and from work sites, perform pre and post trip inspections, and support loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous goods.

Qualifications

• Currently hold a Class 1 or Class 3 license.
• Ability to operate manual transmission.
• Prior experience in heavy equipment and vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Experience operating equipment such asCombo, Vac, High Pressure, Chemical Unit, Tanker, Hot Oiler, dry ice or core cleaning is an asset, onsite training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operating and driving equipment to and from work sites.
• Ensuring proper loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
• Performing pre and post trip inspections.
• Communicating clearly with dispatchers.
• Doing roadside repairs as needed.
• Maintaining and cleaning company equipment.

• Prior experience in heavy equipment and vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair;
• Experience operating equipment such as Combo, Vac, High Pressure, Chemical Unit, Tanker, Hot Oiler, dry ice or core cleaning is an asset, onsite training can be provided;
• Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day.

• Shift rotations ( 3+ weeks on) may be available for rotational workers. Flexible shift options for local residents.
• Ability travel out of town, work weekends and nightshift as per dispatch.
• Willingness to complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
