Job summary

Canada Cartage Group in Calgary is seeking a dependable Class 1 Truck Delivery Driver to operate tractor-trailer units on local and regional Western Canada routes. This full-time role requires safety-focused driving, customer service, and flexibility for variable schedules including nights.

Responsibilities include safe operation, timely deliveries, load securement, and thorough pre/post-trip inspections, with strict adherence to hours of service and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Clean 5-year commercial driving abstract (≤3 demerits; ≤3 negative events).
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience (past 3 months to 1 year).
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and hours of service.
• Winter driving experience and BC mountain driving required.
• Open for night driving.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across city/local routes and regional lanes.
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within western Canada in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Secure freight using straps, chains and load bars per standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report issues promptly.
• Maintain hours-of-service compliance and accurate documentation.
• Be flexible for variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs.
