Class 1 Driver - Night Shuttle and Delivery

Position Summary

Operate a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.

Schedule

• Sunday Shuttle.
• Monday to Thursday Delivery and Yard Maintenance.

What you will do

• Provide shuttle service every Sunday.
• Be able to park trailers efficiently and tidy yard spacing to help traffic flow.
• Operate vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
• Manage appropriate cargo documentation and provide necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

What You’ll Bring

• Required 1 year of experience.
• Less than high school, but has basic reading, communication and arithmetic skills to follow directions.
• Valid Class 1 License.

Along with the following Skills & Competencies

• Must be comfortable backing into small docks.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb on a consistent basis.
