Job summary

Edge Transport is seeking experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work across North America. Open dispatch and routes spanning SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB. Competitive percentage pay and stable year-round work with a seasoned dispatch team.

We require a Class 1A license with minimum 2 years highway driving experience and 1 year flat/step deck experience, a clean abstract, and the ability to pass background checks. Diversity welcomed.

Qualifications

• Class 1A Driver’s License – Minimum 2 year highway driving experience required
• 1 year flat/step deck experience required
• Willing to run on open dispatch
• A clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions
• Ability to pass a criminal record check & pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Operate as Owner Operator on triaxle/tandem flat deck equipment
• Run assigned routes across SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB
• Maintain safety and compliance with company standards
• Coordinate with dispatch for efficient, on-time pickups and deliveries
• Represent Edge Transport professionally with clients and warehouses

Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.

In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.

We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.

Edge Transport is growing and currently looking to recruit experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work. You can be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Vancouver. This role is open dispatch and you will run through SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.
