Job summary

Edge Transport is expanding and seeks experienced class 1 Owner Operators for triaxle/tandem flat deck work. You can be located in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg or Vancouver.

This role operates with open dispatch and you will run through SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB. We offer a competitive percentage base pay, stable year-round work with an experienced dispatch team, well maintained equipment, a comprehensive benefit plan for you and your family, plus hiring and referral

Qualifications

• Class 1A Driver’s License with minimum 2 years highway driving experience.
• 1 year flat/step deck experience required.
• Willing to run on open dispatch.
• A clean driver’s abstract with no suspensions.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate class 1 owner-operator flat deck or step deck equipment.
• Transport across SK, AB, BC, MB, ON, QC and NB.
• Maintain safety and compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch for stable year-round work.

Edge Transportation specializes in flat deck, heavy haul & over-dimensional freight service throughout North America. From full truckload to less-than-truckload needs, experienced operators ensure secure and efficient transport.

In addition, we offer Drayage service which refers to a specialty logistics service that carries freight containers over a short distance, an essential part of intermodal shipping.

We take containers in and out of warehouses, rail terminals, ocean ports and harbors. This often involves taking huge steal shipping containers off rail cars and ship decks and then loading them onto truck trailers. From there, the container is transported to a warehouse or storage facility to get ready for the next step in the intermodal shipping process.
