Canada Cartage Group is seeking a Class 1 Owner Operator for cross-border work in Vancouver and surrounding areas. The role covers Canada and the United States with deliveries and pickups, requiring a dependable, safety-minded driver who maintains compliant logs and documentation.

Responsibilities include securing freight, performing vehicle inspections, and adapting to varying schedules including weekends or overnight runs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver7 license or equivalent
• FAST Card required for Cross Border
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Clean CVOR and drivers abstract
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Canada and the United States
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Canada and the United States in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Operate tractor-trailer, flatbed, dry van, reefer or straight truck equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required
