Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in Calgary, AB is seeking a dependable Class 1 Owner Operator Truck Driver to join our growing transportation team.

The role covers Canada–U.S routes, with shifts typically 4–5 days a week, Sunday to Thursday/Friday, and potential night driving. You will be responsible for safe operation of tractor-trailer units, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, completing all required logs and paperwork, and maintaining compliance with hours-of-service.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license.
• Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events).
• Valid Fast card or TWIC card.
• Mountain driving experience a must.
• Truck should not be older than 6 years.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement.
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions.
• Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicles to transport freight across Canada–U.S. routes.
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Operate tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports.
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures.
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required.
