Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license.
• FAST Card required for Cross Border.
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract.
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of Vancouver and surrounding areas.
• Ability to safely perform hand-bombing and loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Canada and the United States.
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Canada and the United States safely and on time.
• Operate tractor-trailer, flatbed, dry van, reefer or straight truck equipment in accordance with company policies.
• Secure freight using straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards.
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Accurately complete all required documentation including e-logs and delivery paperwork.
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and procedures.
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Canada and the United States
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Canada and the United States in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Operate tractor-trailer, flatbed, dry van, reefer or straight truck equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
• Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license
• FAST Card required for Cross Border
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
• Verifiable recent commercial driving experience
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
• Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
• Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as required
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience
• Strong knowledge of Vancouer and surrounding areas
• Previous experience operating specialized equipment, including tailgates, forklifts, power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks, or Moffett's
• Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
