Job summary

G&R Kelly is seeking an experienced Class 1 or Class 3 Dump Truck Driver to join our team in Nova Scotia. You will operate heavy trucks, assist with on-site duties, and ensure safe loading and transport of excavators and equipment.

We require a valid NS Class 1/3 licence, air and float endorsements, and a clean driving record. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits apply, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Nova Scotia Class 1 or Class 3 licence with endorsements.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to load and secure heavy equipment onto a float safely.
• Knowledge of Halifax and surrounding areas; safe driving practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump truck in construction sites and haul loads.
• Assist with general jobsite duties when not operating the truck.
• Load, secure, and transport excavators and equipment on floats.
• Maintain equipment and keep work area organized and safe.

Education

Nova Scotia Class 1/3 Driver’s Licence or equivalent

Air Brake Endorsement

G&R Kelly is looking for an experienced and dependable Class 1 or Class 3 Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently while also being a team player.

This is a hands-on position where drivers may also be required to assist with general jobsite duties when they are not operating the truck.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Nova Scotia Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence
• Valid Air Brake Endorsement
• Valid Float Endorsement
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
• Clean and satisfactory driver’s abstract
• Ability to safely load and secure excavators and other heavy equipment onto a float without assistance
• Knowledge of Halifax and surrounding areas
• Strong knowledge of safe driving and equipment-handling practices
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a construction environment
• Willingness to complete a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
