Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is seeking experienced Class 1 Operators for the Kearl Lake site. You will haul water and sewer, operate water, sewer and vacuum units, and work on a 14 on 14 off schedule, days and nights.

TDG knowledge and 3 years of manual transmission experience are required, with preference for industrial sector experience. We offer flights to Edmonton/Calgary, camp accommodations, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum 3 years experience including up to 18 speed manual Class 1 equipment.
• Previous or related experience operating Water and Vac units.
• Minedrive experience required.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Certification in TDG, Daily Trip Inspections, Hours of Service Alberta, Cargo Securement, WHMIS, H2S Alive and First Aid.
• Must pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug & Alcohol and fit-for-duty screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate water, sewer and vacuum units safely and efficiently.
• Work in all weather; be physically able to perform tasks.
• Complete daily logs, work orders, risk assessments, and inspections.
• Follow dispatch or supervisor instructions.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and company image.
• Attend toolbox talks and follow safety procedures.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment to standards.
• Keep training up to date and follow TDG/WHMIS regulations.
• Pursue continuous improvement and provide customer-focused service.

Job Summary:

Operating from our client site, Kearl Lake, this position involves the safe operation ofseveral types of Class 1 units, hauling both water and sewer. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operateseveral types of units (Water, sewer,Vacuum)in a safe and efficientmanner.

• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.

• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post tripinspections.

• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.

• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.

• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.

• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.

• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.

• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.

• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.
