Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking experienced Class 3 Operators to safely operate water, sewer, vacuum and tanker units from our Fort McKay main shop. TDG knowledge and a minimum of 3 years with manual transmission are required, with prior fluid hauling experience preferred.

Responsibilities include daily logbooks, inspections, and field risk assessments. You will follow dispatch instructions, maintain equipment, and participate in toolbox and safety meetings while upholding TDG/WHMIS

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 license with clean driving record.
• 3+ years with manual transmission equipment.
• Experience in water, sewer, vacuum or tanker hauling.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple Class 3 units (water, sewer, vacuum, tanker) safely.
• Complete daily logs, work orders, risk assessments and inspections.
• Follow dispatch instructions and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Attend safety meetings and adhere to TDG/WHMIS regulations.
• Pursue continuous improvement and provide customer-focused service.

Job Summary:

Operating from our Fort McKay main shop, this position involves the safe operation ofseveral types of Class 3 units. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operateseveral types of units (Water, sewer,Vacuum,Steam truck,Tanker)in a safe and efficientmanner.

• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.

• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post tripinspections.

• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.

• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.

• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.

• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.

• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.

• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.

• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class3 driver’s license with clean driver’sabstract.

• Minimum 3years experienceincluding up to 18 speed manual class 1 or 3 equipment.

• Previous or relatedexperience operatingWater, Vacuum, Hydro orComboVac units.

• Minedriveexperience is anasset.

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.

• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.

• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, and H2S Alive considered an asset.

• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
