Bandstra Transportation Systems Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced Class 1 Local Driver with deck experience to join our operations. Start date is as soon as possible, with competitive hourly pay and mileage rates, full benefits and RRSP match.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license with deck experience.
• Minimum 24 months or 150,000 km of driving experience with articulated vehicles.
• Driver's abstract must show no driving-related convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in 12 months; no more than 3 in 36 months.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in English (reading and writing).
• A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The successful applicant may be expected to perform a variety of duties, including:

• Safely transport goods to designated locations
• Assist with loading/unloading of materials at the warehouse
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documents
• Ensure all safety regulations and standards are followed
• Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles / power units
• A degree of flexibility to work a variety of shifts/assignments as business demand arises.

The successful applicant will be required to perform the standard responsibilities with driving commercial vehicles (pre-trip inspection, maintain hours of service log, general paperwork, and more).

Qualifications:

In order to be qualified, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Valid Class 1 license with deck experience
• Minimum of 24 months or 150,000 km of driving experience with articulated vehicles
• Driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods
