Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• LCV Certification required; in-house training provided for successful applicants.
• Min. 2 years of driving experience; Min. 150,000kms on a tractor trailer.
• Must perform winter tire chain up per company procedure.
• Mountain and highway driving experience preferred.
• Eligible for TDG certification.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Safe operation of all equipment; strong mechanical aptitude.
• High integrity and strong work ethic; self-directed.
• Professional demeanor under stress and customer service focus.
• Ability to lift/load/push/pull/carry up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Availability for nights, weekends and statutory holidays.

Responsibilities

• Transfer trailers to areas in the Interior and Delta as needed.
• Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with policies.
• Deliver trailers on established routes based out of Kelowna.
• Collaborate with team; uphold integrity and safety culture.
• Ensure timely deliveries and maintain excellent customer service.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Position Overview

The Transfer Driver will be responsible for the delivery of trailers over established routes to be based out of Kelowna and surrounding areas. The successful applicant will be compensated by the daily contract rate.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Transfer Driver will be responsible for transferring trailers to areas in the Interior and Delta as per business needs. The Transfer Driver is expected to operate the vehicle in a safe manner at all times, obeying all rules and regulations of the road, and following all appropriate company policies and procedures.
