Job summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is seeking a Texas Bed Truck Driver to join our Fort McMurray team. The role operates tractor-trailers with flatbeds to transport heavy equipment and industrial cargo, reporting to the Branch Manager.

This full-time position requires a Class 1 license, a minimum of 3 years Texas Bed experience, a clean abstract, and safety tickets. Expect on-call duties, varying weather, and compliance with federal Hours of Service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years Texas Bed experience.
• Hold a valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License.
• Clean driving record.
• Valid Safety Tickets: PCST, H2S Alive, Standard 1st Aid; CSO preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive Class 1 trucks on lease roads and highways.
• Hook up trailers and secure heavy loads using chains and rigging.
• Set up Texas rigging and operate winches for lifting and moving heavy items.
• Complete logs (ELDs), invoices, hazard IDs and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with onsite reps, organize loads and assist the swamper as needed.
• Maintain safety and compliance with HSE policies.

Job description

Total Oilfield Rentals (TOR) offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Position Summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Texas Bed Truck Driver to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Texas Bed Truck Driver, is responsible for operating a tractor-trailer equipped with a flatbed or specialized bed trailer to transport heavy equipment, oversized loads, construction materials, and industrial cargo.

Work Location: This is a full-time position based out of our Fort McMurray branch

Time Commitment

This role is subject to Federal Hours of Service regulations. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises and is subject to manager approval. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):

• Safely drive heavy trucks (Class 1) on lease roads and highways, performing pre/post-trip inspections.
• Hook up trailers, deck/undeck equipment, use winches and chains to secure heavy items (pipes, components).
• Set up and operate Texas rigging and winches for lifting and moving heavy loads.
• Adhere to HSE policies, identify hazards, chain up in mud/ice, and ensure surrounding worker safety.
• Complete logs (ELDs), invoices, hazard IDs, and other required documentation.
• Liaise with onsite reps, organize loads, and potentially guide a swamper.
• Have a minimum 3 years Texas Bed experience
• Hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license
• Clean Driver’s abstract
• Valid Safety Tickets: PCST, H2S Alive, Standard 1st Aid and CSO preferred

Working Conditions

• Flexible and willing to be on call some weekends
• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
