Total Oilfield Rentals offers rental and transportation of drilling, completion and production equipment to the oil and natural gas industry throughout Western Canada and the Northwestern United States. Our mission is to exceed customer expectations by supplying superior rental equipment, transportation services and product support.

Position Summary

Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Bed Truck Driver to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Bed Truck Driver is responsible s responsible for the safe transportation, loading, and unloading of equipment, materials, and supplies using a straight bed truck.

Work Location

This is a full-time position based out of our Fort McMurray branch

Time Commitment

This role is subject to Federal Hours of Service regulations. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises and is subject to manager approval. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management.

Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following)

• Operate a straight bed truck safely and efficiently.
• Transport equipment, construction materials, pipe, and supplies to and from worksites.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Secure loads using chains, straps, binders, and other approved tie-down methods.
• Verify cargo against shipping documents and delivery tickets.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials.
• Maintain accurate driver logbooks, inspection reports, and transportation documentation.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Follow all provincial and federal transportation regulations.
• Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle.
• A valid Class 1 license and acceptable driver’s abstract
• Knowledge of cargo securement regulations.
• 3+ years experience in general oilfield hauling
• A commitment to safe work practices
• Ability to pass a pre-employment as well as on-going pre-access drug and alcohol tests
• Desire in working as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions with heavy equipment.
