We are recruiting a Class 1 Driver / Loader Operator to join our team for projects at various locations throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. This position is ideal for a versatile individual who is comfortable operating both commercial vehicles and heavy equipment in a fast-paced aggregate environment. Responsibilities may include hauling equipment, operating loaders, and running mixing and spreading equipment. Experience working around crushers and screening plants is considered a strong asset. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle to transport equipment and materials to and from project sites
- Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment, including loaders, using a lowbed trailer
- Pull lowbeds, conveyors, and other equipment as required
- Operate loaders to load trucks, stockpile materials, and support aggregate production in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
- Complete required logbooks, inspection reports, and other documentation
- Work safely around crushers, screeners, conveyors, and other aggregate processing equipment
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Assist with general labour and other duties as required to support operations
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Experience operating lowbed trailers and transporting heavy equipment is preferred
- Experience operating loaders in an aggregate, construction, or industrial environment is preferred
- Experience operating mixing or spreading equipment is considered an asset
- Previous experience working around crushers and screening plants is a strong asset
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safe work practices
- Willingness to travel and work at various locations throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan
- Willingness to learn and be trained in equipment operation and material blending processes
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, including cannabis
