Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking reliable UK-based HGV Class 1 drivers for roles in Runcorn. You will operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes, perform daily checks, and ensure timely store deliveries or collections with taillift/cage work as needed.

We offer weekly pay, shift premiums for hours over 10, ongoing work, and a supportive driver-focused team with training opportunities and 24/7 on-call support.

Qualifications

• UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with 12 months experience.
• Current UK DCPC card and a valid Digital Tachograph card.
• Up to 6 points on licence (no DD, DR, CD, TT, IN).
• Professional attitude and good communication skills.
• UK resident; visa/relocation not provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles on planned routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork.
• Ensure timely and accurate store deliveries or collections.
• Taillift and cage work.
• Trunking work also available.
• Follow all driving laws and company procedures.

Location: Runcorn

Pay Rate: £17.25 to £21.28 p/h + Shift Premiums

Shifts: Monday to Friday work with start times between 00:00 - 04:00 and 12:00 and 16:00

What You Need:

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence with 12 months experience
• A current UK Driver CPC (DCPC) card and avalid Digital Tachograph card
• Up to 6 points accepted on licence (No DD, DR, CD, TT, IN endorsements)
