Intact is seeking a Claims Representative III, Senior Inside Investigator, Investigative Services Unit to join our growing team in Canada. You will analyze and investigate moderate to high complexity for property claims, with data entry into our metrics tracker.

Salary range (but not limited to):

80,700 - 98,700

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We're looking for a Claims Representative III, Senior Inside Investigator, Investigative Services Unit to join our growing team!

In this role, you will analyze and investigate moderate to high levels of complexity for all lines of business but most importantly property claims. There will also be a focus on entering data into our metrics-tracker program.

This opportunity can be based in any of the following office locations: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia/Dieppe, New Brunswick/St. John's, Newfoundland.

What you'll do here:

• Use our Fraud Detection Software to detect suspicious claims.
• Review and analyze claims for suspected fraud and determine the type and scope of investigation required.
• Utilize loss control tools and gather essential information from all possible resources to recommend further investigation or close non-suspicious tasks.
• Conduct investigations from all parties involved by telephone and using internet technology.
• Document the investigations by collecting and securing proof of fraudulent activities.
• Analyze gathered information and evaluate evidence.
• Contact Police departments to pursue further information when necessary.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in property claims handling or equivalent experience in an investigation role.
• University degree or Law Enforcement background is an asset
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Natural sense of curiosity, persistence, and the ability to conduct detailed research.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of insurance trends, developments, and current regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines.
• Advanced user of standard desktop tools.
• Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset.
