Sovereign Insurance in Halifax is seeking a claims professional to join the National Commercial Auto team. You will investigate, evaluate and determine coverage, negotiate settlements, and apply policy and legislation to deliver strong customer service.
With 2–5 years of commercial claims experience and a university degree, you will work in a hybrid model (in-office twice weekly) and may cross-train across Injury, Liability and Property lines as part of career development.

The position is responsible for determining coverage available to policyholders and claimants, negotiation and settlement of claims and applying policy, legislation, and company guidelines to deliver superior customer service and manage loss costs. You will also have the opportunity to cross train on other lines of business, such as Injury, Liability and Property as part of your career development.
Expected salary/hourly range $60,574- $100,956
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Sovereign in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
